Turn Your Home into Office During WFH

We know, we know, you can’t go out to buy office furniture. However, you can quickly turn things around for yourself at home. Here is how you can optimise your home into your new office space.
Any Abandoned Corner Available?
Every home has corners, and some are designed to perfection, while others are left abandoned. So, it’s time to look for these empty corners and convert them into your new desk. Pull out any table or chair and place it in this corner, and your workplace will be ready. If you don’t have an office-like desk and chair, then spread a rug, get some old, thick books, and convert it into your little cosy office space. The idea is that you don’t hunch while typing and keep your laptop at an arms distance to avoid straining your neck.

Your Dining Table your New Con-Call Space
The dining space is usually not a high traffic zone in every home. Frequented by family members only during mealtimes, you can convert this space into your new work hub. The table and chair are already there, so you can maintain the work posture. Besides, the background of the dining room works perfectly for your video calls.

Any Space with a View
If there is any well-lit space at home with a perfect view, then request your family to spare it for you. Working with a beautiful view can uplift your mood and get you going. Besides, the importance of natural light cannot be stressed enough during these times when most of us are observing social distancing and avoiding even going out for a stroll. If there is such a space at home with a power plug in proximity, then get going.

A Spare Room?
With social isolation being the new norm, if you have a guest room, then convert it into your office. A whole place to yourself can work well as once inside the room, you can step into your professional life. You can also personalise the room like you do your office cubicle. Get some office colleagues and family pictures, add plants and some colourful décor pieces, and spruce up the place quickly.

It may take some more time until you can resume the office full-time. So, use the above tips and rediscover places in your home, which can work as your new workplace. If, however, your home is too small and you are thinking of moving into a spacious abode soon after lockdown, then Vrindavan homesin Nagpur can be the perfect option.

How can you Take Care of Yourself During Covid-19

The coronavirus disease primarily spreads after coming into contact with an infected person. This contact can happen when a COVID-19 patient coughs, sneezes or you come into contact with a surface that they have touched, or you shake hands with them. Any form of direct or indirect contact with a person carrying the coronavirus can lead to the spread of this disease. The first case of coronavirus got reported in Wuhan, China in December 2019, and it has become a pandemic. Almost every country in the world is impacted, and the research on vaccines and medications is vigorously getting pursued.
As world authorities continue to make the world free from coronavirus, you can play your part too in preventing its spread. Some of the ways you can protect yourself and your family include
Wash your Hands: There is continuous focus by the World Health Organisation (WHO), medical practitioners and authorities to repeatedly wash your hands. It will help if you wash your hands frequently and for at least 20 seconds. You can use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser or use soap and water to keep your hands clean. By washing your hands with soap and water or using an alcohol-based hand sanitiser, you can effectively kill viruses that are there on your hands.
Avoid Touching your Face: It is a human tendency to touch your eyes, ears, nose and mouth several times during the day. Our hands being a carrier of several viruses and bacteria, transfer these infections from our hands to our body with this one touch. So, make it a deliberate practice not to touch your face.
Stay Home, Practise Social Distancing: It is essential to stay at home and avoid any unnecessary trips to the market too. Even though the country is in a lockdown state, you may be venturing out to shop groceries, vegetables and other essentials. You can make an exhaustive list for the whole week or at least for 3-4 days and avoid stepping out.

Mask-Up & Carry Sanitiser: Before stepping out, you should wear a mask and remember to carry a hand sanitiser. During the time you are outside, keep wearing the cover and use the hand sanitiser every few minutes to disinfect your hands. As soon as you return home, change your clothes, clean-up and store the groceries carefully. You can wash fruits and vegetables and disinfect the grocery packets. Besides, you can also maintain one tote bag in which you shop and keep the groceries. Wash this bag and have it ready for the next shopping.

Maintain Social Distancing: When outdoors, it is essential to maintain social distancing. There should be at least a 1-metre distance between two people. It will avert the risk of infection. When someone coughs or sneezes, they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth that contains the virus. If you are not maintaining social distancing, you can end up inhaling the droplets.
Respiratory Hygiene: At home or outdoors, maintain proper respiratory hygiene. So, cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow each time you cough or sneeze. You can also keep tissue paper handy and dispose of properly after using it.

How to Declutter your Home before Selling

Declutter the Entryway: The first impression gets formed when someone visits your home for the first time and from the entryway. It will help if you start clearing up all the clutter in and around the home entrance. If there are bicycles or bikes parked on the entryway, you should remove it. As for the decorations and plants, you can keep it minimal and simple.
Declutter the Kitchen: There is always too much to sort in one’s kitchen. When you are planning to sell your home, remove everything from the kitchen and get it deep cleaned. The oil and cooking stains, the chimney and exhaust always need a thorough and intense wash. You should also remove everything and clean the cabinets. Once you clear the cupboards, you can get rid of all the unnecessary stuff and place the crockery and other kitchen essentials neatly. The idea is to impress the buyer with kitchen storage.
Declutter the Wardrobes: Everyone wants more storage space in the house. If you have nicely designed cabinets, then organise things accurately and remove all the extra stuff. It will help to exhibit the storage space better, making it a USP of your home.
Declutter the Bathrooms: Along with the kitchen getting the bathrooms deep cleaned can also help. Scrubbing every tile and cleaning all the cabinets can get tough and exhausting. Moreover, bathroom stains are often tough. So, if you can get it deep cleaned and organise everything in the cabinets, it will give a spick and span look to the bathroom.
Declutter the Store: If you have any storeroom or garage, then you should clean it up too. It is necessary to remove all the unwanted stuff and organise it.

Make your Home Winter Ready

Insulate the Doors & Windows: It’s time you check the gap between doors and surface and window frames. The cold air makes way inside the home and rooms from these gaps making the house chilly. To keep the house warm, fix these gaps and keep the doors and windows closed.
Brighten-Up the Decor: During winters, days can get dull and grey. You don’t get to see the sun shining bright and beautiful every day. So, adding up some colorful drapes, cushions and furnishings can instantly make the space perky. It is also the right time to experiment with geometric prints and designs and do away with those summer floral.
A Cozy Space: Along with adding color, also look for ways to make the home cozy. It’s the perfect time to take out those furry and thick rugs and adorn the floor. Complete the look with some throw cushions and snuggle up with a warm blanket. This can also be the perfect way of doing up any dusty corner of your home. Add a rug, some cushions and enjoy a cozy book nook corner this winter season.
Light-Up the Home: With the onset of winters, you need to work on the home light set-up too. You should have the entire space lit-up. In fact, giving sheer curtains a try can be ideal during winters. With sheer curtains, your entire home can embrace the winter sun and stay warm. For the rooms that stay dark, illuminate with lamps and candles and have the house winter-ready.
Don’t Forget Xmas Decor: To make your house winter-ready, don’t forget to add some beautiful Xmas decorations. Plan your Christmas tree and decor for the year too, some bells, candles and gifts to wrap the year on a warm and welcoming note.
